Description

The Tehama County Transportation Commission (TCTC) is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to prepare a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan under the Federal Highway Administration’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) program. The Action Plan will establish a data-driven, community-supported framework for significantly reducing — and ultimately eliminating — roadway fatalities and serious injuries for all users countywide, with emphasis on rural local roads and the 99W/I-5 corridor.

The selected consultant will deliver all components required by FHWA, including leadership commitment and goal setting, planning structure, safety and equity analysis, public and stakeholder engagement, policy and process review, prioritized strategy and project selection, and a progress-reporting framework. A key objective of this procurement is to position Tehama County as a competitive applicant for future SS4A Implementation Grant funding and other federal, state, and regional safety funding sources.

This project is funded in whole or in part with federal funds through FHWA’s SS4A program. Any resulting contract is subject to applicable federal requirements, including 2 CFR Part 200, Title VI, 49 CFR Part 26 (DBE), Build America Buy America, the executed SS4A Grant Agreement, and Caltrans LAPM Chapter 10 where applicable.

Reach out to Blake Rampey – rrampey@tcpw.ca.gov for any questions you may have.
